The name “Brother’s Oolong Tea” originates from a tradition dating back several decades when a tea manager combined the leaves from two similar-looking Dan Cong tea bushes grown in adjacent rows. After processing, the resulting tea was highly praised for its exceptional quality. Since the tea was made from the fresh leaves of two closely related tea trees, it was affectionately named “Brother’s Oolong.”

Description
Brother’s Oolong is a variety of the Zhilan (orchid) fragrance type within the Dan Cong family. The original trees, over 200 years old, were planted by the ancestors of tea master Wen Yanzao at an altitude of 1050 meters in Liziping Village, Wudong. Of the two original trees, only one remains today, but the tea’s unique flavor and aroma have been preserved through clonal propagation across the Phoenix Mountain tea region.
